As IAJE’s advocacy arm, JAI has produced audience development tools – like its celebrated gotjazz.info initiative – and marketing research to enhance the growth and development of jazz.
JAI is working diligently on behalf of the jazz community to expand market share and future business opportunities. Through these efforts, JAI will demonstrate that jazz is a viable medium to advertisers, consumers, and the media.
In addition to its advocacy efforts, the JAI will develop and administer a number of proactive business-oriented programs, including a consolidated annual marketing strategy and marketing materials for the field of jazz; career development, business training, and mentoring programs; annual research; initiatives to reinforce the cultural connection between jazz and the African American community; recognition vehicles like special advertising supplements, feature stories and editorials and strategic marketing initiatives with major retail outlets and manufacturers.
Your contribution will significantly expand the global jazz audience and help us initiate programs that will raise the market share for jazz, thus fostering a wider economic base for jazz artists, industry, and educators.
